| Streets, highways, bi-ways, freeways, cross-roads -- we have as many names for roads it seems as Eskimos have for snow. Roads are so much part of our culture it is hard to imagine a time when they did not dominate and scar our landscape. Beyond a means for us to get from point A to point B, roads also have come to represent journey's of the mind, spirit, and life itself. They have become part of our collective consciousness and culture, resonating from books ("On the Road"), music (Further on Down the Road"), and daily vernacular ("The road goes on forever"). | About Me and My Art Hi, my name is Joe. Welcome to my little corner on deviantART! My gallery on DA consists mostly of photomanipulated artworks. It is extremely varied both in style and subject matter. There is everything from dark grunge art to collage-like works to classical looking scenery; some of my work references or spotlights a period in history; some, emotions of the heart; others have deep-rooted psychological meaning or are personal in nature; others still are humorous/scary and/or pretty/interesting. In the left-hand column there are three Feature sections that spotlight specific areas/kinds of art created by DA members. I invite you to look through the Journal Features as well as the other features -- there is some amazing art there from your fellow DA members.
