Rose and Sienna

This work revealed itself very slowly to me -- it actually took about four days to come into its own. There are so many personal aspects to this piece that it is a little creepy. The beach could be a favorite spot of mine in Monterey where i would go running often; in the distance is Santa Cruz. The dog reminds me of one of my favorite puppies. And the woman is a dead-on ringer/look-alike of a college sweetheart I still can't get out of my mind. Art works in mysterious ways sometimes...
